The Grant Medical College, Mumbai is among the premier educational institutions in India. The college was established in the year 1845 and is affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences located in Nashik. It has been among the top ten medical colleges of the country for many years. Every year, the college accepts the admission of 250 students in the undergraduate course and 100 students for the postgraduate course. Robert Grant and Sir Jamsetjee Jejeebhoy founded the Institute.India Today has ranked the college 10th in 2019 while Outlook has ranked it 7th.
Spread over a massive 44acres of land the State Government-run medical college has a whopping 46 buildings on the entire campus.
